Quick rotary cutting and accurate piecing techniques allow even the busiest quilter time to make a quilt. Nellie will share tips on choosing colours and how to get the "scrappy" look in your quilts.

SCRAPPY BLOCKS 56" x 72" This is an excellent project for the new quilter. Students will practice rotary cutting and achieving an accurate ¼" seam allowance. Simple blocks make this a good quilt for trying some of the lovely flannels available but it also works well in brights, plaids, or pastels. The end result is a perfect quilt for a child, student, cottage, or rec room. |

COUNTRY CUPBOARD 60" x 76" This entire quilt is made using half square triangles. Learn accurate cutting and speed piecing techniques to create a quilt with lots of movement and colour. Nellie made her quilt using civil war reproduction fabrics. It's great for using up fat quarters as there is not much waste. |
